In this video, we start PCB routing and learn how to turn the ratsnest connections into real copper tracks. Along the way, we'll also learn how PCB design rules work, how to choose a practical trace width, how manufacturer capabilities affect our PCB design, how to create a copper zone/ground plane, and how to use KiCad's Design Rule Checker. This is one of the most important stages of PCB design because a PCB isn't just about connecting components. We also need to make sure the board follows electrical, physical, and manufacturing requirements.
